November weather can be quite unpredictable, but each year, a diversity of waterfowl species can be found along the shores of Lake Champlain. The Colchester Causeway can provide birders with an opportunity to get closer views of many duck species, as well as many other winter birds. On this outing, birders will traverse the rail trail through a wooded area sheltered from the wind and out on the open lake. Birders with scopes are encouraged to bring them along.
Registration for this walk will open on Saturday, November 1. To ensure an enjoyable birding experience, this outing will be limited to 20 participants.
